There is no such thing as a “Blank Page”

Sometimes a blank page is so welcoming… a gift! You get to create the story fresh, the way you want it!

As a blogger or a person fond of writing, I know that there is no such thing as a blank page. You start, crumble, delete, erase and start over again until you get it right… sometimes it isn’t even right but it is the way you want it. Often, at least in my case, it goes against the grain of other people’s views and opinions. At that point you have a choice… cave in or write your article! I’ve always chosen to write about my views and opinions.

So much like life… no blank pages, just taking the pages you already have and creating the story of your life out of the story of your life. You can cave in and live a life less than you want or go against the grain and really live with no regrets.

Let us not forget that every day is chapter one. The incredible thing is we can change the story and even the table of contents any time we want. It is simply a decision, which isn’t so simple sometimes. But absolutely necessary if you want the book of your life to be yours and not something someone else wrote!

Are you living your book, or are you allowing someone else to be the author of your life?

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below 🙂

  1. Nice post Andrei! I’m with you with living your own book. Although sometimes, it’s difficult not to mind the expectations and judgment of others… which also reminds me that nobody’s perfect. All the mistakes, struggles, and learning are what makes us all a beautiful mess! 🙂

  2. Hello Andrei. It was just this morning that I was watching a video which spoke of the gift of a lovely blank 365 pages empty book handed out to each one of us to fill in with another chapter of our life. There can be topics of sadness, happiness, spirituality or whatever you choose must be a part of.
Your post brought back the same wisdom that is in that video. Like what my blog stands for, life is best tasted in its imperfections – falling, stumbling, learning to walk and then master the race and then falter again, pick ourselves up and keep our journey going.
Here is wishes to pages that have been colored with thought, wisdom, imperfections that all becomes one beautiful story – our story.

    1. Wow. I would love to see that video too. Thanks for sharing, Pranitha.
You’re right. The thing that makes our story truly colorful and beautiful is that it is OURS – every pages of it correspond to every sinew in our body and everything we’ve been through in this journey we call Life.
It is always a pleasure to hear your thoughts, Pranitha! 🙂

  3. Andrei, your truth in words is a great reminder for me today. As my life goes on I continue to write on top of revisions, erase, add using many colors of ink. It is a glorious messiness but it is my story and I am thankful to have the years that many others never got to have. Happy New Year.
