Perfect people have scars on their faces and perfect complexions. Perfect people have long brown hair at 60 and short grey hair at 35. Perfect people wear wigs. Perfect people have sex with men, women, both, or no one at all. Perfect people can barely see over the grocery store counter, and sometimes bump their heads at the top of doorways. Perfect people have waistlines that are infinite in size and geometry. Perfect people have skin tones as light as vanilla ice-cream and as rich dark chocolate. Perfect people come from every corner of this beautiful planet and can be seen everywhere – even in the mirror. Yeah! That’s right! Perfect is the way we are born. Perfect is the way we are now. Perfect is exclusively unique.
We are all perfect just the way we are!
So, be yourself. Trying to be anyone else is a waste of the person you are. Embrace that individual inside you that has ideas, strengths and beauty like no one else. Be the person you know yourself to be — the best version of you — on your terms. And above all, be true to YOU — if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.

It’s true. It takes time and conscious effort to truly discover who we really are as individuals. As we grow mature, we’ve been baffled by so many beliefs and ideologies that shaped our personality and our being to the point that finding our “real” self becomes very difficult for us. Perfectionism has become the standard that we’ve been desperately trying to reach, just like setting up a bar so high above our capacity to grasp. We forgot to consider that perfection lies within our true being. Each of us is just like a piece of tile in a jigsaw -we have a unique shape and quality, perfect in its own way to fit in and complete the whole puzzle.
Thank you for dropping by and for the substantive comment. Appreciate it. Best of luck to you blog too 🙂

My two furry friends and myself over at the “Gilmours Nice Place” blog believe that the key to satisfaction and happiness is to be ONESELF.
Unfortunately, “being oneself” requires that one takes time to discover who we REALLY ARE and “taking time” for our personal voyage of discovery is something most apparently do not wish to embark upon in our “modern”, fast-paced, superficial world.
Somebody once said; “You were born to be real, not to be perfect”.
Although we are all perfect “as ourselves”, we believe perfectionism has nothing to do with reality.
Thank you for posting and all the best from the three of us. 🙂

We’re always told that no one’s perfect, and it’s meant to comfort us and assure us that no one’s better than anyone. But as you said, were actually all perfect; just in our own way. That’s a different way of viewing the age-old adage! Really gets me thinking, thanks Andrei!

I believe so, Jake. We are all created unique and special. God is the potter and we are the clay. He made us all perfect by having our uniqueness. Each of us is a masterpiece. We were made for a purpose. 🙂
Our perfection lies not in being perfectly flawless (by any standards) but by being created unique by God and set out to perform a single unique task in the grand scheme of “things” in the whole creation.

That’s an awesome analogy, yeah I agree, I think we’re all given a unique talent or skill at birth, and we’re meant to utilize it to the best of our abilities to try and make the world a better place. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone acted on their uniqueness instead of hiding it or running from it. Huh, I think I know what I’ll be writing a post about in the future 😉

Perfectly resonates your blog Pranitha – finding perfection in imperfections! 🙂 We are all originally created perfect in our own unique ways by the Almighty. As you’ve said, we just have to embrace and own our perfect imperfections! Have a nice day too, Pranitha! Happy to see you here 🙂
